$43.4m Cash Haul: EFCC ransacks ex-gov. Obi, Mu’azu, others’ Lagos apartments
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Tuesday combed the apartments of the immediate past Governor of Anambra state, Peter Obi and a former National Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Adamu Mu’azu
This is according to a report from Punch Newspaper
The search is part of the commission’s investigations into the $43.4 million recovered last week in Lagos, Nigeria.
Media aide to Obi, Valentine Obienyem confirmed the operation
According to Obienyem, his boss, Obi, willingly submitted the keys to his apartment to the EFCC, adding that all apartments in the building were searched.
Other notable persons also living in the Tower include; former Managing Director of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporations NNPC, Mrs. Esther Nnamdi-Ogbue and Media mogul and founder of Ebony Life Television, Mo Abudu.
