$9.8m Scandal: Former GMD NNPC, Andrew Yakubu stalls trial over ill health
Justice Abubakar Mohammed of the Federal High Court Abuja on Tuesday adjourned the criminal case of former Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Andrew Yakubu until April 9, 2018.
The defendant had earlier submitted an application through his counsel Ahmed Raji seeking for an adjournment to enable him attend to undisclosed health issues.
According to the lawyer,” the application is to aid the smooth running of the case so that my client can be in good health to enable him attend to his trial”
Yakubu was arraigned by the EFCC on a six-count charge, bordering on non-disclosure of assets and fraud, charges.
