APC: We’ll soon dominate Nigeria’s political space – Mala Buni
Caretaker Chairman of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) and governor of Yobe State, Mala Buni has said that the party will soon dominate the political space in Nigeria by welcoming members from other political parties who are set to jump ship.
Buni said this at a consultative meeting of the party with the APC Senate Caucus in Abuja on Wednesday. He observed that the party has put in place an internal reconciliation mechanism to listen to and address grievances members might have against the party there by doing away with all litigations.
Commenting on the issue of the party register, the governor said it was regrettable that since the 2013 membership registration exercise the party had been lacking an authentic register for all its members and there was a need for an update. Buni opined that the party’s constitution was due for amendment so as to ensure its readiness for presentation to NEC for approval before the expiration of the committee’s tenure.
The Chairman, however, noted that the party is positioned and united to deliver on its mandate to Nigerians.
