Appeal Court reduces ex-Plateau Gov, Senator Dariye’s jail term to 10 years

A former governor of Plateau state, Senator Joshua Dariye will no longer be serving a 14-year jail term as the Court of Appeal in Abuja has reduced his sentence to 10 years for being a first time offender.

On June 12, 2018, Justice Adebukola Banjoko had sentenced Dariye to 14years imprisonment for embezzling 1.4 Billion Naira being the ecological fund that was meant for the state during his tenure as governor.
