#Biafra Minute by Minute: IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu, goes home after two-year detention
Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, today regained his freedom at 6:45pm after he perfected all the bail conditions handed to him by Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court in Abuja.
Mr. Kanu arrived at the Federal high court in a black Toyota jeep with registration number ABC-46-M. The IPOB leader was brought to the court from Kuje prison to sign an undertaken that he would be available to answer to the five-count charge the Federal Government entered against him.
Mr. Kanu was arrested in October 2015 following allegations of treasonable felony by the federal government. He was held in the custody of the State Security Service till the ruling in January 2016 when the Federal High Court ordered that the detained Biafra agitator be kept in prison custody. Since his detention, Kanu has made various applications for bail which were refused by the different judges handling the matter. He was, however, granted bail on Wednesday by Justice Binta Nyako
