Boko Haram: Operation Lafiya Dole launches Mobile Strike Teams
Operation Lafiya Dole has launched Mobile Strike Teams into the Theatre of operation to enhance operational efficiency.
Theatre Commander of the Northeast counter terrorism war code named Operation Lafiya Dole, Major General Ibrahim Attahiru says the teams were specially trained to give a final push to the lingering war.
The Mobile Strike Teams received an intensive training in the Nigerian Army Special Forces School Buni Yadi, in Yobe state before their induction into the theatre.
According to the Theatre Commander, these specially selected forces with mixed equipment and platforms are to achieve the conduct of long range patrols and ambushed deep into the hinterland.
“Your Pre-induction training at the NASFS has given the necessary impetus to outstanding performance in the onerous task of keeping out MSR open and all rural settlements safe.”
He further noted that “Combats demand that soldiers put their lives at risk; a situation that makes them acutely aware that it’s handling requires zero defect.
“This is the reason why every fighting force must be disciplined, resolute and determined to realize that your effectiveness is the foundation upon which our tactical and operational end state will depend upon.”
