Boko Haram: We’ll put in more efforts to achieve the desire of the president-Chief of Defence Staff
Chief of Defence Staff, Major-General Abayomi Olonishakin has assured Nigerians that he and his team would not let the country down.
Olonishakin, however, asked for the cooperation of all Nigerians in the ongoing counter-terrorism efforts.
Asked later by State House journalists whether three months would be enough to defeat the Boko Haram sect, the CDS simply said: “the president has given a presidential directive.”
He also stated that his team was already strategising on how to handle most of the challenges since they were appointed over a month ago.
“And all these strategies, we are beginning to put them in place. So, we just put in more efforts to ensure that we achieve the desire of the president,” he said.
