Defections: PDP headquarters witnesses unprecedented crowd in over 3 years

Thousands of party members and supporters stormed the Wadata House to receive old and new members who defected from the APC recently.

The APC has continued to witness exodus of its chieftains, including three governors, about 50 National Assembly members, scores of House of Assembly members, a diplomat, chairmen of local government, including the spokesperson of the APC, Bolaji Abdullahi.

Though the APC, through its chairman, Adams Oshiomhole; Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Muhammed; and President Muhammadu Buhari, has insisted it doesn’t lose a day’s sleep over the defections, watchers believe the opposition is become stronger by the day and is gathering muscles enough to unseat the ruling party as elections beacons.

Nearly 40 political parties, led by the PDP, have formed a coalition to dislodge the PDP at the polls.
