Donald Trump shares ‘classified information’ with Russia
United States President, Donald Trump, has allegedly shared highly classified information with Russia.
Trump is said to have shared the information with Russian Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov and Russian ambassador to the US, Sergey Kislyak during an Oval Office meeting last week.
The Washington Post reported on Monday that Trump shared details of intelligence gathered about an ISIS threat that had been closely guarded within the United States government and among close US allies.
However, White House officials has rejected the claims saying, saying Trump’s meeting with Lavrov consisted only of broad discussions surrounding counter-terrorism.
If this leak is found to be true it could jeopardise co-operations from allies that have access to the inner workings of the Islamic State.
