EFCC arrests two brothers, 3 others over alleged internet fraud in Ibadan
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested two brothers and three others in Ibadan, over an alleged involvement in internet fraud. The Commission’s Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, in a signed statement on Wednesday made it known to news men in Ibadan.
According to sources, the suspects were said to have been apprehended on Wednesday at their hideout located in Alaka, Elebu area of Ibadan. The Commission’s head of publicity said the suspects were arrested based on intelligence linking them with possession of luxuries without any identifiable means of livelihood.
Among items recovered from the suspects were four cars, laptops, exotic phones, and a stamp bearing the bursary section of Queensland University School of Medicine, Australia. He said the suspects would be charged to court immediately investigations were concluded.
