Flood overruns Mararaba, suburb community around 2018 rainfall in Nigeria

As torrential downfalls continue to pound cities across Nigeria, the nation’s capital, Abuja, has not been left out.

This is Mararaba, a community in Nasarawa state, but a neighbouring community to Abuja.

This scene occurred on Saturday September 1, 2018. Almost 20 hours of uninterrupted rainfall flooded homes, roads and halted all economic activities.

Residents of the community are calling on government to come to their rescue by constructing good drainages on the Abuja – Keffi road, where the community is located.
