INEC opens Nat’l collation centre, moves first presidential results’ declaration to Monday

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has just moved kick-off of Presidential result declaration to 11am on Monday.

INEC chairman Professor Mahmood Yakubu who dropped the hint while officially declaring national collation centre open in Abuja lined out how each state collation officer and Resident Electoral Commissioner are expected to appear.

All the agents of registered political parties who had shown interest were represented at the opening of the centre.

The two leading political parties, the All Progressive Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) were represented.

While Col. Hammed Ali represented the ruling party, Dr. Usman Bugaje stood in for PDP.

Ekiti state which is the first state to have completed the collation of the presidential election is expected to present it’s result.
