I ‘ll implement 2014 Confab Report if elected Nigeria’s president – Lecturer

A presidential aspirant under the Social Democratic Party, Femi Olufunmilade, has promised to implement the report of National Confab organized by former President Goodluck Jonathan in 2014.

The Confab, which took place in Abuja proffered solutions to some of the perennial socio-cultural and economic challenges facing the nation, such as calls for restructuring, resource control, state police among others.

The report has since gathered dust at the Presidential Villa. Woes of the report are compounded by the fact that its initiator was defeated by incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari. Buhari has failed to consider the report.

Olufunmilade, Head of Department of International Relations and Strategic Studies at Igbinedion University, Okada, Edo State, said he met with the former president recently and promised to implement the report if elected president of the nation in 2019.
