Moment Ike Ekweremadu struggled, failed to stop protesting National Assembly staff

Protest is ongoing at the National Assembly, 12 November 2018, by the workers over unpaid salaries. Ike Ekweremadu tried to gain access into the chambers but failed. The National Assembly workers, under the auspices of Members of Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN), who are agitated over non-payment of their Consolidated Salary Structure (CONLESS) are carrying various placards, chanting “No Pay No sitting”.

The staff have threatened to stop sitting if attention is not given to them.

Recall that they protested a couple of months ago when the lawmakers resumed plenary in October after three months break.
