Citing Controversies, N’Assembly delays passage of 2016 budget indefinitely

Nigeria’s parliament today postponed voting on the 2016 budget from February 25 because ministers cannot agree on revised public spending plans, lawmakers.

Briefing journalists on the decision , Chairmen of the Appropriation Committees in both chambers of the National Assembly, Senator Danjuma Goje and Hon. Jubril Abdulmumini, said the controversies trailing the budget no longer make the proposed passage date feasible.
