NEC sets up C’ttee to reconcile ECA, NNPC remittance

An ad hoc committee council has been reconstituted for the purpose of reconciling the Excess Crude Account, ECA, and Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) remittance.

This was made known by Adamawa State governor, Ahmadu Fintiri while speaking to newsmen after the inaugural National Economic Council Meeting in Abuja.

He said that an ad hoc committee council to reconcile the Excess Crude Account, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation remittance and other related issues have been reconstituted.

Members of the committee include the governors of Edo, Kaduna, Jigawa and Ebonyi state. They are expected to meet with relevant Federal Government officials for the reconciliation.

According to Fintiri, the balance of the Excess Crude Account as at June 2019, was $144.9 million.

He also gave updates on the Stabilization Fund Account (SFA) presented to the council, Thursday, June 20, 2019, the balance in the SFA stood at N17.6 billion.

Meanwhile, he stated that the update on the Natural Resources Development Fund (NRDF) as at Thursday, June 19, 2019, was N77.7 billion.
