The Force Public Relations Officer who also doubles as Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps, Mr Babatunde Akinbiyi, while confirming the report said a woman and her child and the truck’s Motor Boy were those that died.
“Four people were involved in the accident which included three male and one female, saying that two males and one female died in the accident while one person was injured.”
Speaking to the News Agency, Mr Akinbiyi said the accident occurred on Wednesday, 16th January, 2019 as a result of a wrongful over taking that led the truck losing its control.
“In the process of overtaking another truck ahead of it loaded with granite, the edge of the truck loaded with soft drinks entered a ditch which results in its fall, killing a woman and her child selling along the road and the motor boy,” he said.
However, he further said the injured has been taken to Oluwalogbon Hospital, Atan  while the corpse have been claimed by their relatives.
Akinbiyi urged all motorists to always abide by traffic rules and regulations, avoid speeding excessively and wrongful overtaking  to avoid further accidents and death.
