Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnoghen has failed to appear in court at the commencement of proceeding in a suit filed against him by the federal government.
Members of the Danladi Umar-led three-man tribunal arrived in the courtroom at exactly 10 am.

After the matter was called, the court official who announced the case observed that CJN was not present and then notified the tribunal chairman of the development.
The arraignment of the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Walter Onnoghen has been stalled due to his absence from court. Through a motion filed by his lawyer Wole Olanipekun, Onnoghen is challenging the jurisdiction of the Code of Conduct Tribunal to hear the matter
