Nigeria’s Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, has honoured the invitation of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
He arrived the commission about 10am today Tuesday July 31, sources within the anti-graft agency told our reporter.
Ekweremadu, a leading member of the opposition Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), was invited by the commission on Tuesday July 24, the day the nation’s police prevented him from presiding over the Senate.
He is being accused of money laundering.
The Senate President, Bukola Saraki, had been invited by the police, and Ekweremadu was to preside over the Senate on Tuesday, July 24.
