Opposition party exposes alleged plot to arrest Onnoghen

An alleged plot to arrest the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnoghen, on Tuesday has been uncovered by opposition parties on Friday, 18 January, 2019

Spokesperson of the Coalition of United Political Parties, Ikenga Ugochinyere, disclosed this at a press conference in Abuja.

Ugochinyere said the arrest would be carried out shortly after a bench warrant would have been issued by the Code of Conduct Tribunal against Onnoghen.

He also mentioned that arrangements have been concluded to name Justice Tanko Muhammed as acting CJN
