IGP, NSA hold emergency meeting with governors

Acting Inspector General of Police, Muhammad Adamu and the National Security Adviser, Babagana Monguno are scheduled to meet with members of the Nigeria Governors Forum today in Abuja, at 12 pm.

Reports reaching us indicate that the acting IGP and the NSA are on ground as well as some governors.

Reasons for the meeting has not been disclosed but it may bother around the proliferation of small arms and light weapons
The senior government officials alleged that politicians were stockpiling weapons ahead of the elections.
