Senate President, Ahmed Lawan, appoints Chief of Staff, Media Aide
Senate President, Ahmed Lawan has approved the appointment of Babagana Muhammad as Chief of Staff and Festus Adebayo as Special adviser on Media and Publicity.
Special Adviser to the Senate President on Administration, Dr. Betty Okoroh, in a statement said the appointments are with immediate effect.
The statement reads, “The appointments were made based on merit, experience, track record and competency of Aji and Adebayo.
“They are needed by the Senate President in executing his planned legislative agenda.”
Aji is presently an Administrative Coordinator of National Health Insurance Scheme Outreach Services; he holds a Master Degree in Educational Planning and Administrative, and another in Public Administration, both attained from the University of Maiduguri.
Aji began his career with the University of Maiduguri in 1987 as Administrative Assistant and later ascended the position of Registrar of the esteemed University in the year 1997.
Far ahead, Aji joined the services of the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital where he was made a Director in 2016.
He holds membership of various professional bodies not to exclude the Nigerian Institute of Management and Registered Administrative Managers of Nigeria and also appeared in several trainings, workshops and conferences both locally and internationally.
On the other hand, Adebayo holds a PhD in Political Communication from the University of Ibadan, and is also a member of the Editorial Board of Tribune Newspaper.
