Nnamdi Kanu Trial: Court orders Abaribe, others to pay N100m bail bond
Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High court sitting in Abuja has ordered a senator representing Abia-South Senatorial District of Abia State, Enyinnaya Abaribe to temporarily forfeit the bail bond of N100m for failing to produce IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu in court.
Senator Abaribe, a Jewish High Priest, Emmanu El- Salom Oka BenMadu and an accountant, Mr. Tochukwu Uchendu had stood as sureties for the leader of Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu on April 25, 2017.
Shortly after the case was called Wednesday, counsel to the Federal Government, Shuaibu Labaran urged the court to compel all three sureties to show cause why their bail bond should not be forfeited.
