Federal lawmakers from Kogi have revealed plans by the government of Yahaya Bello to target and silence members of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party.
Member representing Dekina/Bassa federal constituency, Benjamin Okolo, made the revelation while reacting to an allegation of collusion between the police and government of Kogi State to sabotage Senator Ahmed Ogembe’s empowerment programme in Abuja on Friday.
Also reacting to the allegation, another federal lawmaker, Tajudeen Yusuf, fear the reign of anarchy may force people to ‘exile’.
“When the reign of anarchy is established in a place, I pray that the sense of dignity would be restored in the mind of those who are privileged to pilot the affairs of our state, else we may not have a state we may call our own”.
