Reps: Bill to amend the prevention of crime Act passes second reading
The honourable members in one voice acknowledged that most of our laws meant to punish perpetrators of crimes are now obsolete and hence need some amendment to come to present day reality.
Prominent among these crimes are murder, rape, killing and kidnapping.
The amendment therefore seeks to increase the review and increase the prescribed penalties of 2004 law of the federation.
