Reps: Bill to amend the Substantive Office Holding Criteria Act passes second reading
Hon. Edward Gyang Pwajok who represents Jos South/East federal constituency of Plateau State moved the motion, praying the house to review and amend the act that binds the appointment of a citizen to act as a substantive office holder. The lawmaker said a lot of these appointed persons have no idea of the requirements of the office which the substantively hold, thereby leading to a momentary malfunction in such an office.
He further sort for a review of the duration of stay for any substantive office, saying six months was the ideal and constitutional duration.
