REVEALED: How Raymond Dokpesi’s AIT took over Bauchi state owned radio station without payment

Governor Muhammad Abubakar of Bauchi State has said the land belonging to Daar Communication, the owners of African Independent Television and Raypower Radio in the state was revoked because it was not paid for.

He explained that the property was given to AIT without due process. He said, “people are making a mistake, it was not just a land. It was a radio station belonging to the government of Bauchi state, with a building, a mast and 220 kilowatts transmitters that were taken and handed over to AIT without paying a single kobo”.

The government had in August 2016 through a letter signed by the Bauchi State Commissioner of Lands revoked the Certificate of Occupancy of the land given to Daar Communications.
