Stop discrimination against Open University graduates, VC begs

The Vice Chancellor, National Open University of Nigeria, (NOUN) Professor Abdalla Adamu Tuesday decried the high level of discrimination meted to the graduates of the institution by the National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) and other relevant bodies.

He said the lingering challenges which span from painful exclusion of NOUN graduates from participation in NYSC scheme to exclusion from law school and others, dampens the nationalistic outlook cultivated by the students.

Prof. Adamu who made these known during a visit to the Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission, (NUC), said that the NOUN graduates desire to fully participate in the NYSC, calling on the ES to to intervene and request NYSC to accept NOUN students inorder to contribute to nation building at their level.
