UN, EU experts train NHRC on modern techniques to combat human right violation cases in Nigeria
The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) in partnership with the Human Right Agenda Network (NRAN) with the support of the European Union (EU) has organized 4days training on Advanced Monitoring, Investigation, Reporting, documentation and Prosecution of Human rights Violation cases.
The training which held at the NHRC headquarters in Abuja, was put together to better equip staff of the NHRC and HRAN on advanced monitoring and investigation skills, standardized registration of complaints and advanced prosecution skills for handling Human right violation cases in other to promote human rights accountability in the North-East.
Resource persons from within and outside the nation were carefully selected to facilitate the training. Mr. Christian Mukosa, a senior human rights adviser working with the office of the high commission of Human Rights in Juba south Sudan was also one of the facilitators.
The Ag. Executive Secretary of the NHRC, Mrs. Oti Ovrawah the staff to take the training seriously, actively participate in it in other to be able to effectively implement what they learn in delivering their official duties.
