We don’t want inconclusive elections, PDP tells INEC ahead of Saturday FCT LG polls
The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party through its chairman Ali Modu Sheriff, has issued a stern warning to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) ahead of the FCT local government polls slated for Saturday, April 9, 2016.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the party’s new national working committee (NWC) held on Tuesday April 5th at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja, Sheriff challenged the electoral body to ensure a hitch free and credible election ahead of Saturday polls.
“All votes must be counted and our winners must be announced; we don’t want inconclusive elections” added Sheriff.
In recent times, inconclusive elections have been common with INEC as witnessed in recent elections conducted in Kogi, Rivers and other states of the federation.
